“I want to inspire people to take on scary challenges they once thought were impossible”

IZ

Isabel King is a professional off-road cyclist from California who likes to push herself to new limits on the bike and inspire others to attack challenges with a smile.

King attended Columbia University, played D1 soccer, and ended her college athletic career as the team's captain, receiving the Ali Ahern MVP award and first-time all-Ivy League honors. After graduating, she pursued a career in finance but soon found her way back to sports—discovering a love of endurance events. She trained for triathlons while studying for her MBA and even qualified to compete as a pro triathlete in her third 70.3 Ironman race. Eventually, the lure of cycling grew too strong, and Iz tabled her plans for post-grad work, deciding to compete full-time as a professional off-road cyclist.

You can spot Iz in her signature bright orange cycling apparel—training hard on the roads of SoCal, dreaming up new adventures, and lining up for the Life Time Grand Prix gravel and mountain bike races—always with a big smile on her face, proving that fast can be fun, and friendly.
